PBC EduAid was born from a simple observation: many of the brightest students PB Cambridge Consult encountered through the iSAT competition and school visits had the talent and ambition to study abroad, but lacked basic resources that more privileged students take for granted — sanitary products, stationery, exam preparation materials, and even reliable information about what opportunities existed beyond their immediate environment.
Rather than treating these as separate from our core mission of expanding access to international education, we recognized that addressing these foundational barriers is inseparable from that mission. A student who misses school every month due to period poverty cannot compete academically with peers who don't face that obstacle. A student who has never been told that scholarships exist for international study will never apply for one, regardless of their academic potential.
EduAid operates as PB Cambridge Consult's non-profit social impact arm, funded through a combination of company resources, corporate partnerships, and individual donations. Every program — from Pad a Girl Child to our school welfare distributions — is designed and executed by volunteers and staff who believe that talent is universal, but opportunity is not, and that organizations with resources have a responsibility to help close that gap wherever they can.
We measure our impact not just in the number of items distributed or events held, but in the stories of students who, having received support through EduAid, went on to excel academically, participate in PBC iSAT, and in several cases, secure scholarships to study abroad — completing the full circle of our organization's mission.
