Learn how the iSAT is scored, what your results mean, and how to use your performance to guide your study abroad journey.
Your iSAT score is made up of two primary section scores that combine into a total composite score out of 1,600. Science Reasoning is scored separately and contributes to scholarship referral eligibility.
Your score report shows performance at the section, test, and content-domain level so you can pinpoint exactly where to improve.

PBC iSAT scores are calculated on a standardised scale that allows meaningful comparison of student performance across different schools, zones, and competition years. Each of the four sections — Mathematics, Critical Reading, Writing and Language, and Science Reasoning — is scored independently, with section scores combined to produce a total iSAT composite score. The scoring methodology is designed to reflect the structure of international standardised tests, giving students and schools a realistic sense of where performance sits relative to the standards required for international university admissions.
Individual student score reports are released through the iSAT portal approximately two weeks after the assessment date. Students and school coordinators can log in using their registration credentials to access detailed score breakdowns showing performance on each section, as well as an overall percentile ranking indicating how a student performed relative to all other participants nationally.
School-level score reports are provided to registered school coordinators and include aggregate data showing how the school's students performed as a group, section-by-section averages, and the school's national ranking among all participating institutions. This institutional data is valuable for administrators seeking to benchmark their students against national standards and identify curriculum areas where additional focus may be beneficial.
Students who achieve top scores in the PBC iSAT are automatically referred to PB Cambridge Consult's scholarship and study abroad consulting programs, where their iSAT performance is used as evidence of academic potential in applications to international universities. Score verification requests may be submitted through the portal within 30 days of score release for students or schools who believe a scoring error may have occurred, with all reviews completed within 14 business days.
