Common Questions

Process FAQs

How long does the whole process take?
The full process typically takes 6–12 months from initial consultation to visa approval, depending on application deadlines and how quickly you gather your documents.
When should I start?
Ideally, start 12–18 months before your intended start date. For US universities with September intake, this means beginning in the preceding January or earlier.
What if I have a low GPA?
A low GPA doesn't automatically disqualify you. We help craft a narrative that contextualises your grades and highlights your strengths through essays, recommendations, and test scores.
Do I need to take the SAT or GRE?
It depends on the university and program. Many schools have gone test-optional. We advise you based on your specific target schools and profile.

Beyond Admission

What Happens After You Get Admitted

Receiving your admission letter is a major milestone, but it's not the end of our partnership — for many students, it's just the beginning of the next phase. Once you've been admitted and have chosen which offer to accept, we help you navigate the often-confusing process of confirming your enrollment, paying deposits, and understanding the financial timeline for tuition payments.

Visa application support kicks into high gear at this stage. We help you gather the specific documentation your destination country requires — financial sponsorship letters, proof of funds, academic transcripts with required certifications, and the I-20 or CAS forms that universities issue once you've confirmed enrollment. We then prepare you for the visa interview itself, conducting mock sessions that mirror the actual format and common questions asked by consular officers.

Pre-departure preparation includes practical guidance on what to pack, how to open an international bank account or arrange for funds transfer, understanding health insurance requirements, and connecting with other Nigerian students already at your university through our alumni network. We want every student to arrive feeling prepared, not overwhelmed, ready to focus on academics and making the most of this new chapter.

Ongoing Support

Throughout Your Journey, We're Here

Our relationship with students doesn't end once they board the plane. We maintain contact through the first semester, checking in on academic adjustment, helping troubleshoot any unexpected challenges, and connecting students with our alumni network for peer support. Many of our former students go on to become mentors themselves, creating a growing community of Nigerian students and graduates across universities worldwide.

This long-term relationship reflects our belief that successful outcomes mean more than just admission — they mean a student who thrives academically, builds meaningful connections, and graduates ready to pursue their career goals, whether that's returning to Nigeria to contribute to local development or building a career internationally.
