We are a team of passionate educators and consultants dedicated to helping Nigerian students access world-class universities and build global careers.
PB Cambridge Consult was founded with one clear mission: to bridge the gap between Nigerian students and the world's best universities. We believe that access to quality international education should not be determined by geography or lack of information.
Our team of experienced consultants, former international students, and education professionals work tirelessly to guide every student from initial inquiry all the way through enrollment — and beyond.
Every decision we make is measured against our mission: democratising access to world-class education for Nigerian students.
We treat every student as an individual — understanding their unique background, goals, and constraints before offering any guidance.
We never recommend a path that is not in the student's best interest. Honest, transparent advice is our non-negotiable standard.
The first meeting with a new student is almost never about universities — it's about money, honestly. We need to know what a family can realistically afford before we let a student get attached to a school they can't pay for. After that, it's grades, test scores if they have them, what subjects they actually enjoy versus what they think sounds impressive, and whether they want to come back to Nigeria after or build a career abroad. Those answers shape everything that follows.
Our consultants are trained on the latest admissions trends across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and continental Europe. Admissions criteria shift from year to year — universities adjust their standardized testing policies, scholarship thresholds, and visa requirements regularly. We stay current through ongoing professional development, direct relationships with international admissions offices, and active participation in global education conferences such as NAFSA and the British Council's Education UK exhibitions.
Before any student leaves Nigeria, we run them through the practical stuff nobody else bothers explaining: how to open a foreign bank account before arrival so you're not stuck with no money on day one, what an actual lecture looks like compared to secondary school (a lot less hand-holding), and how to budget when £40 a week sounds like a lot until rent is due. Former students who've already been through it are often the ones who answer these questions best — we've built a loose alumni network across more than 40 countries, and a student heading to Leeds can usually get connected with someone already there.
We are headquartered in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, but our reach extends across Nigeria through virtual consultations, regional school visits, and our PBC iSAT competition which brings our brand and mission to over 200 schools annually. Our office serves as a hub for in-person SAT preparation classes, application workshops, and visa interview practice sessions — all designed to give Nigerian students every possible advantage on the global stage.
Integrity guides every recommendation we make — we will never advise a student toward a university or program that doesn't genuinely serve their interests, regardless of any potential partnership incentives. Excellence drives our standards — from the depth of our SAT preparation curriculum to the thoroughness of our visa documentation review, we hold ourselves to the standard we'd want for our own families. And accessibility remains central to our mission, reflected not just in our consulting work but in PBC EduAid's commitment to removing barriers for students who might otherwise never know these opportunities exist.
Looking ahead, we're continually expanding our reach — building partnerships with more universities, training more consultants, and developing new programs like PBC iSAT that identify and nurture talent across Nigeria's diverse regions. Our goal remains constant: ensuring that any Nigerian student with the talent and drive to succeed internationally has the guidance, resources, and support needed to make that ambition a reality.
Our results are the clearest evidence of what PB Cambridge Consult delivers. In the most recent academic cycle, our students received offers from institutions including Harvard, Oxford, University of Toronto, University of Melbourne, and TU Munich, among hundreds of other universities across six continents. Scholarship awards secured by our students in a single year have exceeded ₦500 million in aggregate value — life-changing sums that have made the difference between a student fulfilling their potential and being held back by financial circumstance. Beyond individual outcomes, we are proud of the systemic impact we have had on international education awareness in Nigeria through PBC iSAT, which has now exposed over 15,000 secondary school students to SAT-standard assessment, planting seeds of global academic ambition in communities that previously had limited exposure to international higher education pathways.
